Has climate change affected your business? For example, through unusually heavy rains or prolonged droughts? Or does it present new business opportunities for you, such as developing new products? If so, you've come to the right course to enhance your company's climate resilience. 

Powered by the Ye! Community, this training seamlessly aligns with the Youth Day '23 Webinar Series on Green Skills for Youth Ecopreneurs. We'll introduce you to the basics of climate change, its causes, and effects, and explore why it is essential for enterprises to address them. Together, we'll discover the Climate Expert Approach, developed by GIZ, which helps you identify climate impacts and their effects on your business. We'll also support you in developing a business case for climate adaptation measures. By the end of this course, you will have learned how to formulate your company's climate resilience strategy and create an associated communication plan. But that's not all – we'll also introduce you to the topic of green finance, enabling you to identify adequate sources of funding for implementing climate adaptation measures. See you there and join us on this enlightening journey as you take charge of your business's climate future, actively addressing the challenges and opportunities th at lie ahead. This course has a time commitment of 6 hours spread over 4 weeks, is completely free of charge, and upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate.

After having completed this course, participants will be able to:

Provide logical and concise arguments in favour of taking action to address climate change;
Evaluate the different impacts of climate change on your company and identify adequate climate adaptation measures to respond to these impacts;
Calculate the business case of different measures and decide how they should be integrated into your company’s climate resilience strategy and associated communication plan;
Identify adequate sources of green finance to fund the implementation of climate adaptation measures.
