Introduction to entrepreneurship eCourse – Final Assessment

Once you have completed all five modules, it is time for you to confirm what you have learned. The final assessment consists of 15 questions, and requires a passing grade of 60% to receive a Certificate of Completion. Good luck!


Module 3: Accounting Basics for Entrepreneurship

This module will introduce you to two of the main concepts in accounting for entrepreneurship: the Profit and Loss (P&L) Statement, and Accounts Receivable and Payable. By becoming familiar with both of these and learning how to use them, you will improve your ability to keep track of your company’s financial situation, and thus your ability to plan for the future.


Module 2: The Resources of Entrepreneurship

This module looks at the resources of entrepreneurship, also known as the “factors of production.” Simply put, to be a successful entrepreneur, you will have to make the most effective use of three resources: land, capital, and labour. We will go into detail to look at each of these and provide you with some tips on managing them effectively, as well as some pitfalls to avoid.

 


Module 4: Understanding your Customers

As an entrepreneur, your main goal should be to deliver value to your customers. This is what this module will help you to do. In this module, we will look at how you can come up with a business ideas that your customers will find attractive, and examine some steps that you could take to make sure that the customers you target are the right ones for your business idea.


Module 5: Understanding & Managing Business Risk

Unfortunately, any business journey will include some risk. As an entrepreneur, you will face constant challenges and obstacles. The trick, then, is to learn how to anticipate them before they happen, and successfully deal with them once they do. In this module then, we will look at the different types of business risks that you might face and explore some risk mitigation strategies that you could implement to minimize the impact of these risks on your business.

In this module, we will look at the reasons why you might want to become an entrepreneur, as well as the advantages that entrepreneurship can bring you. We will also explore the critical characteristics that will make your business successful, and look at some ways that you can make sure to develop them in your own entrepreneurial activities.
