COURSE DESCRIPTION:

With a target audience of SMEs and entrepreneurs, this course gives participants an overview of the processes involved in raising various kinds of funds for their activities. It begins by looking at a few techniques to evaluate financial need. Then, it explores the differences between equity, grants and debt (both long and short-term), and details the various capital providers from which SMEs might raise funds. Finally, it concludes with a detailed examination of the process of securing funds, due diligence, and the post-funding relationship that you might want to build with your capital provider. Learn what it takes to raise funds for your business today!

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

Identify the different financial instruments available to you;
Explain the basic features of capital providers; and
How to manage the negotiation and post financing phase.
