COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course presents the fundamentals of business continuity as they impact small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It begins by discussing the consequences of business disruptions, and establishes the case for using a management system to establish business continuity. It then moves on to explain how to establish such a management system, with a focus on solving the problems that SMEs often encounter as they seek to do so. Finally, it concludes with a look at how to implement a business continuity management system, with some practical examples of how to respond to incidents.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

Evaluate the importance of business continuity for SMEs
Assess how to establish a business continuity management system
Identify how to implement a business continuity management system;
Analyse how to effectively respond to incidents when they occur
