DESCRIPTION:

Experts estimate that the brain receives over 11 million bits of information every second. However, our conscious minds can only process about 50 of these. Our brains are constantly filtering the information we receive and focusing on those elements deemed to require conscious attention.

IN THIS LESSON YOU WILL LEARN:

The four main cognitive “blocks” to learning; and
Three pedagogical approaches (constructivist, behavioural and situational) that can be used to overcome these.
