This courses introduces SMEs to the importance of identifying quality entrepreneurial opportunities in higher learning institutions with favourable conditions that create the need for a good or service or business. The course will present them with useful guidelines to identify opportunities, plan and prepare the venture, resource the venture, and take action.

It begins by defining the meaning of quality entrepreneurial opportunities and the benefits which quality entrepreneurial opportunities bring to an SMEs business, before moving on to discuss the various different forms of entrepreneurial opportunities such as new goods or services, new production processes, new distribution channels, new ways of organising or new markets that a business can decide to undertake based on the calculated business growth. Finally, it introduces tips and provides guidelines to assist SMEs to identify entrepreneurial opportunities that will be effective and that will grow their business(s).

This course helps participants explore the possible business opportunities that a physical learning environment create for both internal and external possible entrepreneurs.
