Course description

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed for all interpreters servicing UN field missions. It focuses on the challenges interpreters face in the field with the aim of better equipping you with the awareness, knowledge, and tools to discharge your functions in the best way while preserving your health and upholding the values and behaviors of the United Nations.

After having completed this course, participants will be able to:

Better prepare for a field mission and follow guidelines for conduct in the field, teamwork and facilitating communication

Become aware of ethical considerations and cultural mediation

Be better informed of security considerations and legal implications

Improve psychological Self-Care
